How do I stop the text-to-speech feature on my Motorola Moto E?

My speech is not clear enough to have my messages, text or contacts input correctly. So, I want to stop the text-to-speech feature and go back to typing in what I need to. Again, how can I stop the text-to-speech feature on my Moto E phone?

Hi, welcome to the forums! You don't need to disable text to speech. You can change how it works in settings - language & input - text to speech output.

There are some apps that can use this feature and you need to find which one is enabled. First go to settings - accessibility and make sure that TalkBack is off. Other apps like Assist can use TTS as well.
