How do I transfer a file from my Galaxy S5 to my Macbook after the OS X Yosemite update?

Galaxy S5 / OS X Yosemite bluetooth issue

Recently upgraded my Macbook Pro to Yosemite 10.10. Now I can't transfer a file from S5 to Macbook. Transfer from Macbook to S5 works fine. I have initiated re-pairing from both devices, but the problem persists.

Talked to Apple and they are punting on the problem.

Has anyone solved this problem?

Thanks for your response. Only after your response did I realize that I omitted an important piece of information. . .I am trying to connect via bluetooth.

With that said, my search for solutions did point me to Android File Transfer, I downloaded it and had the same issue as in "Could not connect to device ??????".

Your response that Yosemite is for iPhones is troubling. . .Hopefully they will work through the incompatibility issues with the other 75% of phones in the near future.
