How do I transfer data from internal memory to an SD card?

Hi everyone! I´ve got an LG- P714 cell phone and yesterday I changed an old SD card (1 GB) for a new one (8 GB). I tried to transfer some apps from internal memory to the new SD card and nearly for all apps, the cell phone warns that before transfering data it must perform a "Delete Data" command (and of course it will delete all data in the app). With an app like "Whatsapp", I don´t want to delete any data. Can anyone tell how to transfer apps from internal memory to the SD card without deleting any data?

Welcome to Android Central! Were any of those apps you're trying to move originally moved to the old 1 GB SD card? If so, make sure you select those apps and "Move to Phone Storage" first. Then swap out the cards, and try "Move to SD Card" again.
