How do I turn off content hidden tabs on lock screen?

I don't want to see a notification every time I get an email on my lock screen. The only option I've found so far is to make those notifications hidden. Well whats the point of it being hidden if every time I get an email, I still see a notification that I got an email with a statement saying "content hidden". I don't want to see anything related to my email at all on the lock screen. Any information on this I would appreciate. Thanks.
