How do i turn off edge lighting when im on my phone

It's been bugging me recently, I have no idea how to turn it off. I just want normal notifications instead of the edge lighting when my phone is on. When it'd turned off I like the edge lighting

There's an app at the Galaxy Store, Samsung's app store, called Edge Lighting. It may give you more control over the settings for it but as far as I know it's all or nothing with edge lighting. I've seen one other similar complaint/question and I'm almost certain the answer was all or nothing.

Alternatively you could try changing the color to one that isn't so bothersome or turn it off and use the accessibility setting that fires the flash for notifications. I think it's under hearing impairment settings.
