how do i turn off different mics for video recording?

recorded some video lastnight of my buddies band...needless to say the audio is terrible. i thought i had read some where you were able to turn the different mics on and off, but i cant find any info on it and looking through the settings reveals nothing...

I haven't found where you can turn the mics off completely but there is a "Concert" setting that supposedly is best for capturing loud music without distortion. I haven't tested it out myself though.

When your camcorder is up, touch the right side of the screen just over from the red record button, then tap "Scenes", and swipe over to "Concert".

ok, i went to the camcorder and found the settings which i assume control the mics. now, any idea on how to tweak these settings using the ustream broadcaster? anyone? bueler?

Concert Mode Does not help. I saw Disturbed in August and had my DX set to Concert and while the Video was EXCELLENT, the sound "crackles" the entire time. Fail for audio recording

I'm not sure what the point of recording a band playing without the audio is. I'm a drummer & that's the exact reason I have my wife record us...

but anyhoo, that's about the best audio you're gonna get from a phone as far as concert music goes.

I have the mute button that pops up on the screen when I start the camcorder. I think that touching the screen while recording also makes it pop up.

To everyone who pointed out the "Mute" button that pops up on the screen that I have evidently not paid attention to EVERY TIME that I launched the camcorder.....Thanks for making me feel like a complete idiot! (Which I definitely deserved!) HAHA!

im not talking about turning all the mics off, just being able to switch between the 3 onboard mics to enhance the sound...sorry if my original post wasnt clear enough but the original responder understood what i was talking about...

You do that by sliding the right hand menu out and pressing sences the flipping through till you find the right one...

You should playing around with an adapter that would plug a real mic into your phones 3.5mm jack... or record without sound and record sound with a recording device then dub the sound with a video editing software

I just saw MUSE in concert and used the concert mode.
both the audio and video turned out great.
Now - I wasn't right up front. I was in the middle of the arena.. but it was still loud..
