how do i turn off sound for new email on my Moto e lte?

i still want sound for text. can't seem to separate the two on options

Welcome to Android Central! Open the email app you use (stock Email vs Gmail), then go to its settings, and look for the notification options there. You should be able to change it to Silent (or turn it off completely).
