AC Question

I tried to use USB tethering, but ever since I turned it on, my laptop and my pc both don't recognise it anymore (Windows 10). The main computer also has the same (Windows Vista)
Now I can't see my files via USB, and I don't want to use wireless options, because they're slower. It gives me an error that is something like this: "One of the USB devices attached to your computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it"
The problem is, that I can't turn it off anymore because my laptop disconnects it immediately, so the USB tethering option gets grayed out. Do you guys know anything? I really want to use a USB cable.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo running Android 5.0.1 (CyanogenMod 12)
