How do I turn on my voice mail notification on my Android 6.0?

Ever since I activated Do Not Disturb and set the priorities on my apps, I'm no longer being notified that I have voice mail. I checked my app settings and don't even see anything for voice mail at all. Is it possible to keep voice mail notification going even when DND is activated?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Are you saying that when you turn off DND, you still don't get voicemail notifications?
