How do I turn this annoying feature off?

This feature came out of no where, I never enabled it but once I launched Buzzfeed for the first time on the phone then this started happening but I don't think it's the apps fault since I have uninstalled it. Instead of using the fingerprint sensor like always to unlock, I get this message "Enter pattern instead of fingerprint recognition because of security policy". I've tried to find a solution to this but everything I looks to be talking about the double tap to lock gesture on nova launcher but I never used that gesture also they talked about an update that was around April too. I looked into device admins in the settings, there was a nova launcher permission to lock the screen and I turned that off but that message stilled popped up saying I needed to enter my pattern instead sometimes. This occurs mostly when I'm in an app and when the screen is turned off, after a certain time period that message will pop up which is very annoying. So how do I fix this issue I feel like factory reset wouldn't fix it and feel like it's a software issue but is there a solution to fix this annoying problem?

That screen usually pops up when you have an app controlling when the phone screen is turned off an locked. Do you have any app that does that? Maybe a power saver app?

wait, the screen lights up for no reason, so something is happening to force me to enter the pattern

Is there an app that has a setting to unlock the phone on notification? There are some apps with that setting. It may also cause than due to security concerns.

I checked in the device admins, disables the ones that says to lock my phone but that pop up keeps coming up still
