How do I undo what I did - permissions.

In 2019 when I got my Samsung S10 I removed all permissions from apps that didn't need them. I also got rid of the "OK Google" function and I removed as much of Bixby as I could, disabled as much as I could. My experience level is end user so I didn't make developer changes, only removing permissions and uninstalling of apps.

(I have the illusion that by doing all that Google isn't selling my casual conversations to advertisers. Don't break that illusion please.)

I just replaced my car and I found out after purchase that the car doesn't have the bluetooth voice commands. I have to use my phone voice controls. Which were all disabled in 2019.

So either Bixby or OK Google has to be resurrected but I don't know how. Can anyone tell me an easy to follow way to do that? Factory reset won't be done as I have texts from dead family members on my phone.

Go to settings>Apps>3 dots upper right corner tap>Reset app preference

Welcome to Android Central! The real illusion is the notion that Google sells your data to 3rd parties. This is absolutely not the case. because Google doesn't have to. Google already has all of the ads on their own, and they'll use your data internally to determine which ads should be shown to you. There's no need to go outside Google's walls for this. So yes, your data is being used to help determine which ads to show, but your data never gets sold to those 3rd parties for them to do what they will. Notably, this is in contrast to Samsung, who in their terms of service explicitly state that your data may be sold to other parties and vendors.
