How do I unlock my Sprint GS4 to use on T-Mobile?

Unlocking Sprint GS4 to use TMobile

So, I'm planning to buy a Galaxy S4 from someone who has Sprint as their carrier. They mentioned that they can just call Sprint to unlock it and I would be able to use my TMobile SIM card. Is that right? Will there be complications? I want to make sure before I make a purchase.

The Sprint S4 should work on T-Mobile's network but you will be missing the 1900 LTE band that they use.
