How do I update from custom ROM on Froyo to stock Gingerbread?

My TB is currently running a custom ROM on top of rooted Froyo.

I want to wipe everything and have fresh, "out of the box" latest Gingerbread stock from Verizon.

What's the best way to do that?

Thanks!

Follow the unrooting steps outlined here in the forums. It will return you to stock, then it's just a matter of following the OTA update prompts. Not sure why you'd want to do this thou :p

I am thinking about selling the phone but first I wanted to check out stock Gingerbread and then try out some custom Gingerbread based ROMs.

I'm very rusty on all this stuff - it's been a while.

I can root Gingerbread and try newer custom ROMs from there, right? Or would I have to go back to stock unrooted Froyo first?

I'm not sure they've figured out how to root the OTA update yet. I'd recommend trying the BAMF Forever ROM if you want to try out gingerbread, it's one of the best out there right now.

If you're trying to root the Gingerbread OTA, you'll need to use Revolution. Its pretty simple to do
