How do I update my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3113

[Android Central Question]

So I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3113. I haven't used it in years. I go to updates to see if there are any available (my tablet is super slow and laggy and clearly needs some updates). I have auto update checked, but when I tap "Update" it says that there was a wifi or server error and I should try again later. I also tried to backup but I keep getting the same error message. My Wifi is pretty good though and works on everything else. I'm not sure what else to do, I've tried to update and backup my tablet for the past 2 days now and I keep getting the error message. Is it just too old and cannot be updated anymore?

That was released 8 years ago, it's definitely too old now. Even if it's not on the latest version Samsung released for it, Samsung has likely dropped the updates from the servers it was on as that version of Android (4.2.2) is not supported by Google now.
