How do I update to the latest Scott Pilgrim?

I already have Scott Pilgrim 04042011 and want to update to 04282011... How do I do that?

Do i just put the new file on the SD card and run it from recovery?

i already have the other files on the card. (debug-FormatSYSTEM and the other ones)

ALSO: Will I have to reinstall every program again?

you only have to reinstall things when you clear data/factory reset, to update scott pilgrim you don't have to so no you won't have to reinstall anything. As for updating this is right from the thread:

How to Install
please use the following method to flash each new NIGHTLY:
1) Flash Debug-FormatSYSTEM.zip
2) Then flash the currently NIGHTLY
3) Then flash Google Apps
4) reboot

id suggest getting the aospmod rom instead. it is a newer version of android and it runs faster and you will get better battery life.

say if i were to go with a different rom, i would pretty much do the same setup as listed above? or start completely fresh to the parts i hated?

Since it's a different rom, you'll have to reinstall all your apps and reset your settings. But backing up with titanium and exporting home launcher settings and similar, can save you a lot of time. Otherwise, when sticking with the same rom (for an update), everything will stay as long as you don't wipe data. Wiping caches and battery stats is always a good idea, though..

If you made a nandroid of your previous ROM before going to CM7, just flash back to it and you won't have to re-do everything!

Does aosp still have the Cyanogen setting; like revoking app permissions, interface tweaks, etc?

I saw your posts on the aosp thread and wont argue that its working for you but you seem to be one of the only ones with working mms. I tried your steps as well and could not get incoming to work for me. As such I would not consider it working if the majority of users can't get it to work. However aosp is looking into from what I've read.
