Welcome to Android Central! What kinds of music files are they, and where did you get them from (i.e., ripped from CD, downloaded from iTunes, etc.)?
The easiest way is usually to connect the phone to your computer via USB, and use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the music files to the phone's Music directory. Keep the conventional folder hierarchy of Artist>Album>Song. You can also upload your entire music library to your Google Play Music library in the cloud, and stream it easily using the Play Music app: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1075570?hl=en
