I tried the following:
1. Power off phone.
2. Press Volume Down & Power.
3. Click Reboot to Bootloader.
4. Click Boot to Recovery Mode.

After extensive researching and contacting HTC directly, I found out that I am supposed to get a few options where one of them is 'Wipe Cache Partition'. However, all I get is a black screen for a few secods, then an icon of my phone with an exclamation mark on it. That appears for about a minute, after that the phone reboots.

Any reason that's not working? I'm running Lollipop 5.1 and Sense 7.0.

Thanks.

It's doing the same thing on my device. I have the AT&T variant. It worked fine before the update. Quite odd.

When you get to the screen with the exclamation mark you have to press and hold the volume up button, then power, I think. I've only done mine once. I do remember it was a little tricky. Finally I just watched a video on wiping cache partition on Lollipop 5.1. Found a video on YouTube.

At the screen with the triangle and exclamation mark, hold the power button and quickly press and release the volume + button.

Wiped my cache earlier today. I somehow booted into safe mode. Restarted and managed to get to it the second time. Worked fine before 5.1 though.
