how to work DROID TURBO 2 camera business card scan

How do I scan a business card with my DROID TURBO 2 phone?

Mod Note, I will move this to the t2 forums for more visibility

You could scan it in Google Drive.

Love this feature. Just hold the biz card in front of the camera. Let it focus on it, but don't click to take a picture. After a couple seconds it will recognize it and a little pop-up will give you the option to add to contacts.

Surely this is a non-Motorola app and not included with the phone's software?

No, it's included in the phone's software as it's baked into the camera app. You don't activate it from the settings, the camera automatically detects if there's text in a business card format and gives you the popup when it senses it. It's actually been very reliable for me.

Do you hold the phone in landscape mode or portrait? How long does it take for the phone to "sense" the business card?

You can hold it in either position. Takes about 5 second and a green icon will appear between the front/back icon and the video icon. Just tap it and there you go

Posted via the Android Central App

As above, activate the camera, place card so you can see it in the screen, and hold....in a few seconds a green dot will appear, touch it and you will see the contact info and given a choice of what contact database to use (cloud, outlook, etc)
Good Luck
