back up my phone just in case something goes wrong. I need to back up my apps, contacts, music, videos, etc. Which app is best for my situation? Please let me know and thank you.

All of what you listed is generally backed up in your SD card (Music, Videos, Photos) and your apps and contacts, if synced with your gmail, are linked to your account. Most people that root also use a nonodroid back up as well. Hope this helps a little!
