I don't think you can do it on the phone but your carrier may be able to increase it.

As tadpoles says, you'll need to contact your carrier and see if they have a way to make the transfer to voicemail more "patient".

Procedure to adjust ring time before voicemail answers:

This question has come up several times and I've posted the procedure several times and it keeps coming up.

Just follow these steps.
1. Enter *#61*11# and press Send/Talk
2. Write down the number your calls are currently forwarded to. This is your voicemail deposit number.
3. Decide how long you want the phone to ring in 5 second intervals. The maximum time is 30 seconds.
4. Now enter **61*(number from step 2)*11*(number from step 3, use 2 digits)# and press Send/Talk.
Example **61*18085519626*11*30#
This will now change your default ring time before voicemail answers to 30 seconds. To test if it was successful, enter *#61*11# and press Send/Talk for the new value.

This is good info. Thanks. It'll have to be posted again because different people ask the question. Maybe the mods could make a sticky of it?

Maybe it is a Sprint thing, but when I enter the command in step 1 into my dialer and hit talk, I get a voice message that the feature code I entered is not valid.

Have you tried a custom ring tone? Thats what I have done with every phone I have ever owned. I'm also on Sprint.

Re: how do increase the number of rings on note 4

Problem is, changing ringtones doesn't affect how long your phone rings on the caller's end. Changing the ringTIME with a code or contacting the service provider affects both the caller and called.

Android since v1.0. Linux since 2001.

Re: how do increase the number of rings on note 4

I think this procedure is for GSM based devices. CDMA might have different way of prolonging the ring time. Like others have suggested, it may be a carrier adjusted procedure.

Re: how do increase the number of rings on note 4

I think that's the most anybody can get. 30 seconds seems to be the max

As I have turned off voicemail, my phone rings forever. Never stop ringing ever. Obviously carrier issue, I'm with o2 UK and unlocked SIM free.
