Somehow an Instagram account was created and linked to my Facebook account. Through Facebook I unlinked the account but I cannot get rid of this Instagram heading. And I can't seem to completely delete Facebook or Instagram on my Galaxy S8 I can only disable it, update and reinstall them.

Welcome to Android Central! Moved from the Android Apps forum to the S8 forum, since the former is intended for developers to promote their apps.

Preinstalled apps can't be completely deleted on an unrooted phone, so if Facebook and Instagram were both preinstalled on the phone, that's why you can only disable it.

Have you tried contacting their support? android-support@instagram.com

I have T-Mobile and the Facebook app was pre-installed. I was able to uninstall it with no problem.

I can also uninstall most pre-installed Samsung apps like Health, Notes, Gear, etc. if I want to.

Did you buy the phone through T-Mobile or is it unlocked?
