how do you all clean and sanitize your phone?

Answer: the alcohol wipe is probably the easiest and best disinfectant without causing harm to the glass or phone.

I use the OtterBox Defender Pro and it has some sort of Antimicrobial layer that's supposed to help with this, but I'm not sure if there's any documentation regarding any real proof of this or just a BS marketing gimmick.

There ARE antimicrobial materials, but they're sort of tested in lab conditions, and I don't know how long those properties last if there is any documentation on that. Basically, read those claims as "hey we tested it in a clean lab and it repels microbes. Here you go. No idea on how long that will last or how effective it is outside the lab, but hey, it's more cash for us."

I use some wire wool and some salt water.
First I submerge the phone in saltwater overnight to hopefully get rid of any bacteria then I dry it off on the oven for an hour or so, then when it's completely dry I get the wire wool and firmly rub the screen, adding some dry sand as I go, I repeat this every other day for maximum cleanliness.

I have however, noticed some slight scarring on the face of the screen lately and find it hard to make out what's on the screen, I might send it in for Samsung to check under warranty as I really do look after my phone and keep it in tip top condition!

But really I just wipe the screen when its dirty, got a couple of big microfibre cloths for this, just breathe on it and wipe and the phone itself is in mint condition.

Never use window cleaning liquids to clean smartphone screens. These liquids are more acidic and they may damage the touch screen.

In over 20 years of using cellphones (and decades of using two-way radios before that) I've never sanitized any of them - and have never had the flu.

Alcohol wipes work for me. If I let someone use my phone I just throw the whole phone away afterwards and get a new one.lol
Nooooooo...never never never use alcohol on your screen. It can really mess up the oleophobic coating. I'm saying this from experience.

Cold and flu season is here. I'm wondering the best way to clean my phone? I'm seeing this device called a phone soap that uses UV light to sanitize it? Anyone heard of this? What do you use to clean your phone?

Whatever you've used on previous phones should work on this one.

I have a screen protector on so I'm just mostly wiping my screen protector.
Ok well then if that's the case, even a non-bleach Clorox wipe would be safe enough for the rest of the phone. I use medical grade Sani-wipes at work and just wipe off any streaks w/ a tissue. That kills the germs.

I use disinfectant wipes to clean the case and phone from time to time.
I normally use disinfectant liquid on my hands after every time I put gas in my car.
And wash my hands after, well, you get the idea.

I use Lysol disinfectant wipes all my devices, keys and headphones. Never had problems with those!
