How do you change the lock screen time out?

I received my Galaxy S6 from AT&T on April 9, and so far I'm generally pleased with it. However, one thing really bugs me. The lock screen times out after about 3 to 5 seconds. There's no point in having notifications on the lock screen if there's no time to read them. Does anyone know of a way to increase the time before time out as can be done on the regular unlocked phone screens? Thanks.

I'm not sure you can. Mine seems to go out in about 10 seconds with no screen interaction. If you're actively touching the screen though, I think it'll stay on.
