Android Central Question

Greetings,

I just upgraded my redmi note 7 to miui 12 android 10. (I'm using the xiaomi Europe ROM) All is good except I'm facing a problem that I didn't have on Android 9... My screen can rotate upside down (reversed portrait)! Normally a screen should only rotate to portrait and landscape.
This is very annoying for me because when lying down I have to enable and disable the rotation to use the phone every time

My phone is rooted if that helps.

Thank you.

10) Have you rooted your smart phone?.. Many of you have attempted to root your smart phone in an attempt to be special and learn or access the phone's coding.. In the event that your inadvertently screw something up while attempting to root your phone, All bets are off when asking a question within the forum.

Hi, welcome to AC!

In the pull down notifications panel you don't see a toggle for auto rotate or portrait mode ?

Hi :).

Yes, there's a rotate off toggle that allows you to lock the rotation but here's the thing, I don't want to keep locking and unlocking the rotation. I just want to remove the upside-down (Reverse Portrait) rotation altogether. So that for example when I'm lying in bed on my side and watching youtube I can just tilt the phone and watch on landscape then tilt again to comment. I don't understand why they added this reverse portrait rotation, to be honest... I've been using android phones for years and the standard rotation is landscape and portrait.
