Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 i747 that is stuck on the Samsung logo when booting. I've heard I need to flash the original firmware in order to fix this, and that flashing the wrong one can brick the device. If I can't boot my phone up because it gets stuck on the Samsung logo, how can I find out what was the latest firmware that my phone was on?. E.g. If my phone was last on 4.1 or 4.2 and not 4.3, how could I find this out?

Hi

Goto Sammoible.com

Enter your device model and it will tell you what firmware(s) are available for your device. Then use Odin to flash it.
