How do you find the creation date of a memo from the stock memo app?

Hi.

This question has "already been answered", but because that answer didn't help me and might have not helped others, I'm asking it again. I've been using the stock Memo app for a few years, and now I really have to know the creation date of a specific memo. I've tried checking it in the app itself, but it only shows the Last Modified date. Also, if I select the memo, and choose to Share it, it creates a copy of that memo in the Device Storage > BeamMemo folder, but because that copy is created when I do that, the creation date of it is that exact moment. I've read that rooting might help me with this, but I haven't seen a clear example.

Thanks, DaeGua.

Since there is no 'stock' Memo app in Android, it would help to know which specific app you're referring to and which phone you're using. Most of the time the info should be there or, if you know the file path where the app saves the notes (unless encrypted), you could see the file details in your phone's default File Manager (or any file manager app).

You're right, my bad. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, and the app is the one with the logo in the attached file here.123.png 1234.jpg

Damn it, I no longer have that app available for my devices. Since this has been replaced by Samsung Notes, can you download that and see if your Memos port over (you might be asked to import manually or should be able to do so). In Samsung Notes you can see both modified and created date at a glance in the preview on your memo/notes list.

If not, in the Memo app you're using, does long-pressing a memo on the list result in any menus? Or with the specific memo open, do you see a menu with Info or Details in it? Or maybe at the very bottom of the note?

Okay, I will try downloading Samsung Notes. About the current app I'm using, no, long-pressing the memo on the memo list and pressing the three dots (menu button) only offers to "Move" or "Print". With the memo open, if I press the three dots, it offers to "Delete", "Share via" and "Print". And on the bottom of the note, on the note list says a date, but it's the date it's been last modified, and inside the note, it just says the Title and the content of the memo itself. By the way, thank you very much for helping :)

OK, let us know if that helps and if not I'll try to find someone with an older Samsung that still has access to the Memo app. But I think Samsung Notes should be able to import those and display the correct info.
