I'm not a fan of the android Q gesture navigation is there anyway to get the old Q nav bar back with the sliding home button?
Sounds like OP thinking Google 2 button gestureNot sure what your mean by sliding home button, but the nav buttons are still available. In the setting, go to the display menu, then scroll down down and select Navigation bar. You'll find the traditional three button nav there.
Gotcha. Forgot all about those. My bad.Sounds like OP thinking Google 2 button gesture
No worries ,just dont remember it being a option on Samsung , do you ?Gotcha. Forgot all about those. My bad.
Nope. Pretty sure it wasn't at all.No worries ,just dont remember it being a option on Samsung , do you ?
Oh but yes it was until android 10
You had the normal 3 buttons and whenever you swiped right on the home button it took you to the last app you was previously on.
In other words it was a app switcher that worked perfectly to swap back to the previous app .
It worked way better than the 2 button system Google had .
And I was very upset to see it changed with this update.
Here lately it's been change for the sake of change with the gestures crap .
They should keep thr nav bar and all features. A lot of people don't like gestures. I'm really hoping Samsung keeps their own gestures on the S11 but I'm afraid they won't. They are so intuitive and were an easy transition from the nav bar for me. I don't rant the iPhone gestures on my phone. I admittedly haven't tried them yet but I don't fancy how they will interfere with side menus. The Samsung gestures just make sense and don't interfere.Your correct they are OK . And it's really not a issue but the gestures really didn't improve anything was my point
Well I don't know why you use the word if ...
As in if I'm not making this up and it was a real thing.
I found it by accident after swapping from my pixel 3 after using the slide to the right gesture on it to switch apps .then just did it from habit on my s10 and it worked the same but smoother and more accurate .
If you use the Samsung gestures where you swipe up from where each button of the nav bar would be, you can still swipe right and left on the home button to switch apps. You have to have the gesture hints on though. I know you said you don't like gestures but the samsung gestures are easy to get used to since they are right in place of where the nav bar buttons would be. I love the Samsung gestures.

It's nothing personal, but I can't go back to 9 so I've got no way of verifying for myself that this worked.
Again, it's not personal. But I do try not to believe everything I read in internet forums lol.
