How do you get out of the emergency call screen?

how do you get out of the emergency call screen?

After setting up my pin, Im not sure how, but a screen popped up and says (at bottom) "Emergency Call" and now I cant get out of this screen (can't text, check email - nothing). I turned the phone off then on, still same screen. I took the sim card out and still the same screen.
