How do you hide ringtones from music player?

I've tried creating sdcard\ringtones, sdcard\media\ringtones, and \media\audio\ringtones. Default music player still finds the ringtones. I've also tried putting a .nomedia file on the folder. This will hide the ringtones from ringtone selection as well, so that's no good. Is there a way around?

I think the default player is terrible. Try Double Twist or Mix Zing.

I kind of like the default media player and wish it could exclude directories, but it can't, so my second choice is definitely MixZing.

Yeah, I kind of like the default player as well. Although kind of gimmicky, the srs surround sounds decent. Oh well, time to try other music players I suppose...
