How do you like the LED notifier?

what does it do?

I briefly tried Light Flow lite. Frankly, it doesn't do much but I think that's due to limits built into HTC Sense. I was only able to find it by going to the market and finding the link for the paid version.

I also came from a Droid and loved the fact that I could tell what the notification was for by the LED color.

You could try NoLED. Its free and uses small icons on the screen and is super customizable. The Fascinate doesn't have an LED so I've had to resort to plan B and have been happy. I'm not sure how much battery it uses, although I'm sure the LED uses less. I have different colors and icons for each email addy, missed calls, text message, VM, etc. Works great

I tried that and couldn't get it to work on Dinc2

Hmm... bummer. Wonder why.

Not a good idea.
NoLed is only a good idea for amoled screens. Amoled uses no power for the black pixels, so having a tiny portion of the screen lit up for a notification doesn't take much power.
For the dinc2 lcd screen, the whole screen needs to power up no matter what you're displaying, even if the whole screen is black.
Sorry

Interesting. Didn't know that.

I would too! Coming from a BB myself, it took some getting used to to now see a notification in green instead of red lol.

But overall, it is smaller and harder to see, but I think I like that better now that I'm used to it this way. It seems to keep it tightly hidden, and just enough to see it when you need to.... but .... doesnt bulge out like that of the BB which actually turns me into a red flash watcher and thus a crackberry addict.

Theres more to a complete phone than a big bright notifier. So I personally prefer it smaller and more descrete. As I said earlier, I just wish I could change the colors back to what I was used to. It seems like red is more appropriate for a message
