How do you link contacts

Does anyone no how to link multiple contact? I have several poeple who show up in my contacts 3+ times. How do I link them into 1 contact?

Select/open the contact -> Menu -> Edit -> Menu -> Join -> Select Contact to merge with.

Yep. But it's not that bad. When you select "Join", you'll get a list of contacts that most closely match. It goes pretty quick.

Although it would be nice if there were a Merge Similar Contacts option that will go through your whole contacts list like some 3rd party contacts apps do (Go Contacts for example). But I've not yet seen any 3rd party contacts apps that play nice with ICS.

What was google thinking? Also, when syncing contacts via google, not all of my contacts show up. If it's in my phonebook they should be in google. No matter what phone i'm using. Just as long as it's a google phone.

This is not the case for me. I have been spending most of my time trying to get my contacts on this thing. Not to mention my photo's.

Who's idea was it to not allow a freakin memory card? that guy needs his ass kicked....

You see contacts on google.com/contacts but they're not displaying on your Nexus? In the People app, the top three Tabs should reflect the web interface. The left Tab has all of your groups that you've created, minus Starred in Android and My Contacts, because those are the other contacts. If you go to the second tab -> Menu Contacts to Display, you can customize it.

If they show up at google.com/contacts, they should always show up on your Android phone, especially a Nexus phone.

Not a big fan of the contacts set-up on this phone, but that's minor in the grand scheme of things.

They definitely should show up on your phone if you see them in the web interface

What do you have your display options set to?
People app --> menu --> contacts to display

Thank you everyone for your instructions. I was able to sync and link all of my contacts by going to my online google acount.

Now if someone can fix the upload problem with google music, I will begin to like this phone.

Uploading 1,600 songs - going on three days now. Only at 500 songs uploaded.
