I accidentally added a home screen shortcut by holding on an app too long... and have not found any way to remove it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks-

Long press the icon, drag it to the tab at the bottom of the screen, which will turn red and change to a trash can. Release and it's gone.

UNLESS you have dxtop....then u need to get off the bottom dock by swiping left and thatll bring up the screen needed for the garbage bin. took me awhile to figure that out too.

Thanks. I have the unmodified desktop, so the first suggestion ought to work. I had tried that, now that I know it should work I'll be more persistent. :)

Actually, you can leave the dock there. In DXTop, a long press brings up a menu, with remove shortcut as an option. No need to use the trash bin.

I tried your suggestion... drag it down and it turn red with a trash can symbol... but the icon just returned... Any suggestions?

You need to make sure that the trash icon turns red or else you're not actually deleting the shortcut/widget.

Long press on the icon and drag to the trash can that appears in the bottom middle of the screen.

you will feel it vibrate when the long press is complete.
