How do you replace the apps icon with swipe gesture?

I'm using a Samsung galaxy a5 2016, I'm sure I, have seen the setting to replace your 'apps' icon with a swipe up gesture somewhere but I can't find it anymore.

Welcome to Android Central! I thought that was only on the newer S8 and Note8. If you can't find it, you can get that feature using Nova Launcher.
