How do you save contacts to device only?

Just trying this phone out but no way to save contacts to just the phone. Not looking to sync to the cloud. Am I missing something?

When you enter a contact, there's no option to save to a Phone/Device account? It might just be called "My Contacts."

No there is no option to. Just to sim card or sync to an account.

Hmm, which accounts does it offer?

SIM cards can usually only hold up to about 250 contacts, but maybe they're using "SIM card" as a generic term for saving contacts to the phone. You could try saving contacts to the SIM and seeing how many it allows.

I found one in the playstore that allows local contacts. I'll try the sim option later as I would rather use the contacts app that came with the phone. Tks!
