How do you zoom on the camera?

I changed the settings so the volume buttons would zoom but that's not the out of the box setting. I couldn't figure it out.

When the camera screen comes up you can pinch to zoom. That will also bring up a slide bar for zooming in or out.

Pinch to zoom. Which is annoying if u want to use one handed operation. But when the zoom bar comes up on the side. It lasts for a few seconds and then it goes away. But at least it allows for one handed operation for a little while
