How does a phone call during navagation work?

Haven't had this happen yet but was wondering what happens when I get a phone call while I'm using the Navigation app? Does the phone call pause the navigation process and then pick up after I'm finished with call? Also what if I'm traveling through a large city that I'm not familiar with and making several turns in a short period of time. Can I suspend phone calls in that situation?

Your right the phone call will pause the navigation and once your done with the call it will return to the navigation screen. I think the only way to suspend the call would be to end it but I not positive on that.

The navigation will continue to work as along as you stay on the route and the system does not need to recalculate. Since data and voice are not supported on the Verizon CDMA implementation, you need to get the route set BEFORE you start the phone call. The route will then be cached and you are okay to use the phone.

Actually you can switch back to the Nav screen in the phone call. One annoying thing is that the voice prompt will speak over your bluetooth connection (if you have the voice prompt volume up) and obscure the phone audio.

I have an FM transmitter. During a phone call, I still hear the navigator.

Actually... on saturday I had this happen to me. The weird thing was that I answered the call and the GPS navigation was voicing over my phone conversation. Talk about annoying, whats up with that? Am i supopsed to select something in options or .... ?

I believe (If I remember correctly) you can turn down the volume in the nav app and then it will not talk over the phone conversation. But then you might miss your turn.

when in the navigation app, you can simply hit menu -> mute navigation volume
