AC Question

My Galaxy Core Prime cell phone suddenly froze this morning after sending a text to friend. Now I cannot do anything with it, not even shut it down to restart it. Any suggestions as to how to unfreeze it so I can use it? It's completely useless at present.

Hello. Welcome to Android Central.

That has a removable battery so that's the first thing to try it's safe to pull and restart.

When the device is off you can also clear the cache partition, and also factory reset if needed by using the buttons to put it in to Recovery Mode with Volume Up + Power + Home buttons, see here :

There is also a Safe mode by using the Volume Down button instead, to isolate rogue downloaded apps.

This may be a one off freeze, but it's worth turning off again and doing a Cache Partition Wipe in Recovery Mode.
This is a kind of housekeeping to get tid of unwanted files and helps the device run smoother, and often cures little problems. You won't accidentally factory reset as there are extra steps needed to confirm that choice.

Thats for telling me how to unfreeze my phone it actually worked and didnt harm my phone either thanks so much

my phone has frozen to but i cant get my case off to take the back out is there anyother way to fix it

Just did a live chat with Samsung and a soft reset is "Hold down the power and volume down buttons together for 7 seconds and it shuts down, then you restart as normal!
