I currently have an HTC Evo 4G and it becomes virtually unusable once you turn 4G on. I'm curious as to how well the Epic runs 8n the same situation. I look forward to reading all of your observations.

Tried out 4g in LA and the phone handled it really well. What do you mean by unusable though?

It gets very very laggy to the point of being unusable. I only turn it on to download stuff then immediately turn it off.

Today was the first workday with 4g in Orlando. I was able to get 4g both at work and my office! Maybe it was the new baseband version update that rolled out but i don't see much of a difference in power consumption from 3g to 4.

Believe it or not, but the Epic's 4g talk time is supposedly longer than with 3g only on. As for the EVO problem, not sure what's going on there. Is it a known issue or have you seen only a few cases?

When you're at home or something where battery is not an issue turn it on and leave it on and check how the battery consumption is. I mostly use it to watch YouTube so of course that combination eats battery right up.
