I have an HTC Droid DNA (it's on it's last legs) running 4.4.2 with Sense 5.5 and I want to try out the Google Now Launcher from the play store. How difficult is it to revert back to the stock set up if I don't like it? Is it just a simple uninstall?

Google now launcher is just a "skin" for your device UI. If you decide you don't like it, you can uninstall it and your phone Will go back to what it was like before.

Or you can go to Settings/General/Application manager, find the Google Now launcher, open it, scroll down and tap the Clear Defaults button. Then tap the Home button and you'll be asked which launcher to use. Select the HTC launcher and tap Always. You can go back and forth between "default" apps any time you like. (Using Default App Manager makes it easier, because it takes you to the right page, you don't have to remember where to go.)
