How fast is YOUR 3G?

I'm bored and I decided hey, why not try to find everyone's 3G speeds and location!

In the suburbs of Northeast Indiana where I live, i get 148ms ping, and 849kbps down/405kbps up.
But when I go into the city, I get about 400~ms ping and 100~kbps down/20~ kbps up.

Im in a rural area of Western NC, where I only get about ~1-2 bars barely at home.
We have Wifi so its really not a huge deal.

109kbps down.

Pretty sure that will be much faster when we go into the city.

I live outside Washington, D.C., in Chantilly, VA and based off of the SpeedTest.net app, I average about .9 Mbps down and .3 up on the 3g network.

It SCUKED in the beginning but after about 15 calls to VM it started working again

I do not trust that speedtest app it says 50 miles from Calf to Kansas i little suspect.

VM's server is located on Wichita, Kansas. That is why it always picks that location. Turn on your wifi and run it again, it should found a closer server.

But then it will test the speeds of the WiFi network not 3G.

I have been looking at the Optimus V for a bit but am concerned about Virgin Mobiles network quality. Does anyone who lives in or around Madison WI have any recent experience with Virgin Mobile?
