How good is the battery life on the One M8 for an extremely heavy user?

I'm a very heavy user and the best I've gotten is 7hrs 10 minutes screen on time. I just can't seem to put this phone down, that and I'm always on this forum lol

I have been getting great overall battery life,I am not the heaviest user, but if I was I'm sure it would be just fine.

Yeah, finally i got it. When i go back to san jose. I will test it out to whether the signal really had the drain to it before.

I am guessing those who get 6 hours of screen time have their brightness turned down? Also, does keeping it on 3G really make a difference in battery life?

The biggest factor I've seen is GSM vs CDMA. All the M8s with great battery life were on AT&T or TMobile. My Verizon M8 gets about 4.5 hours of screen on time on max auto brightness.

sounds good man,let us know if the battery gets better when you are in a better signal area :)

What's lux auto brightness? I'm getting a Verizon M8 and maybe the CDMA radio is more battery intensive?

Imagine if you can make profiiles for each brightness and set your screen brightness for the outdoor brightness. You can also set it below zero if you buy the paid app

I am by far the most impressed by the user that got 8-1/2 hours of screen time on their M8. For comparison here is the battery on my Flex for today:

GPS, wifi, cellular and bluetooth. My browser sucked up way more power than the screen. Knockon is disabled, that saves maybe 10% battery per day. I figure ten hours in Opera is good enough. A more normal life away from wifi is eight hours screen time, hence an M8 going 8-1/2 is great for you guys. I don't believe the reviews that claim my phone can do 16-20 hrs of video, that would need to be a cruddy little clip running off local storage and hence invalid. But I want to do the ten hour 'taking the hobbits to isengard' video challenge. Any M8 holder willing to try the same on their phone? Wifi is allowed but not local mirroring.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the battery and the way my M8 performs. As a comparison, with my GS3 I could start with a full charge and attempt to play a round of golf using the app GolfShot GPS and the phone would completely die prior to finishing the round. Yesterday morning I woke at 7 with the phone fully charged - used the phone's GPS system to navigate 45 minutes to the golf course, texting and phone calls inbetween. Then I played a nearly five hour round using the app and the power was still at 78%! Whoa. I really can't believe it. When I arrived home I only charged the phone about 40 minutes (by then it was at around 70%) and it got back up to 92% in short order. The battery life astounds me.
