My Note2 has never been higher than 84?F. Never feels hot. My HTC devices always ran warmer!

Never felt any heat from mine even when streaming NFL games for three+ hours. My Thunderbolt though used to get quite warm (near 100F, sometimes a bit more). I think it has a lot to do with the Exynos quad core processors (more efficient) and the general size of the Note 2, larger surface area to spread any heat around.![]()
Not really - unless it's a complete short to ground, in which case that could happen. But cold-solder joints and other manufacturing flaws can cause partial shorts that generate heat and reduce battery life.Short??? If u short a battery it goes up in smoke.
