How hot does your phone get?

Was playing some VR games in my phone and when I took it out of the Google card board it registered 50 degrees Celsius....it was really hot, couldn't hold it it my hand properly without putting it down for a while....is that normal...how got has your phone got?

Mine has gotten really hot in the summertime but it does fine under cooler circumstances.
