How I control the kind of Watsapp backup

When I reinstall Watsapp and have to kinds of backup (internal and Google drive), how can I choose a specific kind of backup to use?
How it is linked to the "skip backup" option during installation.

The only thing I've seen in Google drive is when u see a few back ups try deleting old ones so it can choose from newer one
