How is 5.1 treating sprint users?

Nope, no themes. The only noticible difference that i saw was the new animation when the screen turns on.

George, may be a silly question, but you're talking about notifications on the edge, right? Have you checked the "information stream" settings on the edge settings panel?

I just checked and everything looks fine. I did a second reset and everything is working as it should except the message previews and other notifications appear for a couple seconds on the edge while the phone is locked still, so anyone can read my messages if they are holding the phone in their hand when it arrives even when i have it set to "hide content" Not a huge deal, hopefully it will be addressed in a future update. At least my phone works 98% normal now!

Edit: also i discovered that the problem where the screen turns back on right after i lock the phone was becase of an app called "screen off" that i installed to lock the phone by tapping the app icon. uninstalled it and it hasnt happened since.

After the update I noticed that the sensitivity to the screen is really high, and it is very hard to scroll down when on apps ir reading something with links. Haven't noticed anything about the battery or signal. Sprint is pretty bad and needs to work on getting a signal everywhere. We can talk to a satellite neat pluto but I can't get good reception everywhere?

I'm a Sprint Samsung S6 Edge user and have been experiencing several issues after the lollipop 5.1 update. Most of them I've figured out, but the phone lagging is driving me crazy. I can be in any random application like text messaging and notice the phone lag very bad. For example, the text I type doesn't appear on the screen. Then the phone will show only my home background image, wait 1 second, then show the default lock screen background, wait 1 second again, then show the 9 dots for swipe unlocking. Although, at this point i still can't unlock the device. I have to press the power key and wait until everything comes back. I removed fingerprint unlock thinking that was the problem, but it wasn't, I removed automatic lock on power key, but that didn't help. I was hoping the second update Sprint issues last Monday 6-13-15 G920PVPU2BOFE would help, but that didn't fix the issue. As a side note the last update broke Zedge.

This is EXACTLY what is happening to me on my Note Edge. I've figured out every issue except this lag problem. I will unlock the phone sometimes and it will freeze, show the home screen background, then display the lock screen background and then lock again and show the fingerprint unlock. The whole process takes about 5-10 seconds sometimes and hapens numerous times throughout the day. It is horrible.

I have the Note Edge too. Had the Same problem with my 5.1 update the lagging and no notifications on my edge bar. went to the Samsung store at Best buy to ReFlash the Update. The Lagging is gone but the notifications is still not on the Edge Screen! Factory Resetting not an option for me. Besides I hear that it still didnt solve the problem.

Basically the 5.1 is improving on Most Galaxy Phones Except the Note Edge. They need to fix the Notification Edge Screen problem

I factory reset it twice and only the second time did it fix the edge notifications. The first time i reset, they worked for a few hours then stopped. Even now, mine arent working as they should. They show on the lock screen when the phone is locked, so you can read my notificatons on the edge even when my phone is protected with my fingerprint.

Something tells me we wont be seeing a fix soon though :( there aren't many of us with this "concept" phone and they will likely focus on the newer mainstream phones.

Since my update, whenever I use the S pen and put it back in, the notification remains on the status bar as if the pen were still removed. Same thing for when I plug in headphones, then removed them. The notification bar still displays the headphones icon, suggesting they're still plugged in. Only restarting the phone clears it. Any suggestions? My phone had always been incredibly slow and chows the battery. No change with 5.1.1.

I notice too after I remove my headset the icon still displays. I reset the phone and it was gone. I just tried the s pen and it happens with that too. Lol. Weird.

Anyone know if best buy could help with this buggy update? I always read about people going in and having them reflash the update but im not sure if they could do it or if that would even help.

I would try calling them first before wasting your time going up there.

I thought 5.1 solves the lag problem :(. Typical Samsung after updates.
