How is the 16GB onboard memory allocated?

The standard right now for damn near every device is a maximum of a 32gb MicroSD Card (removable) that you can install yourself. Onboard, its up to the manufacturer. It supposedly comes with a 16gb removable card so you could swap it out with a 32gb if you wanted.

This is all just the removable storage, internally (non-removable) its 16gb also which is nice, though its speculation at this point how thats divied out.

Ok that makes sense, but there is an artificial limit on app space? So assuming it comes with a 16internal drive and ability for a 32gig micro-sd, i can still be limited to only having 4 gigs of apps?
I thought they didn't have this sort of limitation in gingerbread (still using froyo on my droid-inc)

'MOST' applications let you move them to the SD Card instead so the theoretical limit is the size of your SD Card. To do this (if you have an android device now, you can see this as well)

1. Go to 'Settings' in the app drawer.
2. Select 'Applications'
3. Select 'Manage Applications'
4. Click on an application that you have installed
5. There should then (if it supports it) be a button called 'Move to SD Card'.

The only thing i'm NOT sure about, as I haven't done this, is whether or not this moves the entire app, or just the data FOR the app.
