AC Question

I am used to Motorola cell phones that have excellent reception. My sole experience with the Samsung line was the Galaxy S4, which had TERRIBLE reception.

Does the s8 have good reception? Has Samsung upped the game on the reception in their phones since the S4?

Reception is pretty comparable to my iPhone 7 plus. In some cases the s8+ is better.

Fine for me. Compared to my other phones it seems to be the same signal when I am in the same spot.

Same for me. The s8 seems to work much better in areas that the 7+ didn't work. Even though the signal bars seem to display about the same.

Verizon overall seems worse since the unlimited data launch. Almost like they are capping coverage strength. Whatever the case, seems odd coverage started sucking around same time.

Odd. I swapped to Verizon due to unlimited.. I've yet to have signal issues.

For what it's worth I've never seen five bars on my signal I'm usually four or three and in a populated area

Bars are a very bad measurement. Always best to look at the real signal (the dBm strength).

I believe you hit the nail on the head with this one. Even the iPhone 7 Plus and my iPad Pro are getting real slow LTE speeds. :'(
