How is the chrome edging holding up on your Note2?

I just got a Note2, and it came with the flip cover. There are some things I really like about the flip cover but I am somewhat concerned about the fact that the edges of the phone are not protected. For those that have the flip cover, or another edge-less case, or running naked, how is the phone holding up? I don't think I have ever dropped a cell phone but I am a very active so my phone is being moved around all day, and used frequently.

I use a case now but for months I didn't and it held up just fine. My pockets were empty though so nothing touched my phone.

I've had my Note 2 for almost seven months now; the whole time using a Monaco vertical type leather pouch to protect the phone during transit (otherwise use it naked) and so far no issues with the chrome bezel beyond a chip on the top edge (by the headphone jack) from when I dropped it (my fault, was careless). I've always had some concern though that sliding the phone in and out of the pouch could wear on the chrome bezel sides, but there's no indication at all of any wear. :)

Mine isn't holding up so well. I'm very careful with my devices, but my roughly one month old Note 2 has issues with the silver wearing down and exposing white plastic in two areas
