How is the headphone output volume on the Moto X Play?

Hi

Would like to know what the headphone output volume is like on this phone?

Is it comparable to iPhone and HTC levels?

I currently am running a 2 phone setup, my iPhone 4 which is stricly for music and a Moto X 2014 for everything else. Moto X 2014 headphone volume is actually quite good but iPhone is superior.... I have also had experience with the HTC One M8 and the volume on that phone just blew me away.

Headphone volume is more than loud enough for me. If anything I'd say I set the volume to one step lower than I used to set my HTC one m8 to. Sound quality is also excellent although I'm not hugely fussy

Keep in mind sound quality was also great improved with the update to 5.1.1 that included the Note 5 icons and features. They added a UHQ up sampling feature which makes the audio sound incredible.

The sound quality on my X is amazing. Just feel like it needs to be a little bit louder. I really want to replace my iphone, its starting to die, plus I just want to use one phone.

I expect you could deafen yourself if you used the play on full volume for long. I just tried turning it up and I couldn't reach full volume. It was too loud for me!
