If its anything like the past versions, it should be fine. Touchwiz may not be as pretty as Sense, but its very light and not ram heavy which is why samsung doesn't need to add all of these "trickery" for it to run smooth.

I do not remember where, but I remember reading in one of the review/previews that apparently Galaxy S III has around 800 mbs of ram free after bootup in a clean state. If that is true (I highly doubt that unless the GPU has its own ram module). But if thats true, I see no reason for the ram clean up to be very aggressive!!
Hence multitasking as ICS intented it to be !!! :)

800 is impressive. The GS2 has around 650 free from clean slate, and Sense 3.0 phones have like 250 lolz.

As I said, even I am skeptical bout tis!! I know that GS II has around 650mbs free normally, so it'll be really difficult for GSIII to boot up with 800mbs free unless the GPU has its own ram!!

Maybe one of the reviewers who might still has a GS III with them, can have a look and let us know!!

From what I remember, even galaxy note also usually has only 300 odd mbs available due to all the S-Pen bloatware, so considering all the software additions GSIII has, we really need to see how much ram will be available for users!!

HTC n Sammy should have come up with 2 GBs of RAM!!

Well i have the one x now, it's a great phone if only it could multitask right. if the SG3 is able to multitask right then i may sell the HTC and grab a SG3. But i will only do this after i can confirm that it can multitask well. :)

I'm going to return my One X before my first month is over for this reason and a few others. I want a battery that I can replace and an sd card. I mainly got the One X because I was sick of using a backup 3GS.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've had to jump through hoops just to make the multitasking somewhat decent. It increases my data usage and really does a disservice to android in general. It's probably things like this that caused Google to consider multiple nexus devices.

The GS3 has 780MB of usable memory (the rest is dedicated to graphics cache). Once TouchWiz loads, about 350-400 is free. It's not that much different from Sense 4 actually, the difference will be how Samsung have tweaked their settings.

I felt the exact same way as you. I'm back on my Vivid now and waiting for the SIII.
